The Juntetsu Kenshi Set pairs the Kenshi cutting scissor with the matching Kenshi texturising scissor, giving a complete cut-and-blend kit in one matched handle design. Choose your cutting size, 5.75 or 6.75 inch, and the set is completed by the 6.5 inch texturiser.
This set brings the two Kenshi scissors together for stylists and barbers who want a complete cutting and finishing kit that looks and feels like one tool family. Both scissors share the sculpted engraved offset handle and the smooth Juntetsu ball-bearing pivot, so the feel stays consistent as you move between cutting and texturising.
The Kenshi cutting scissor is made from premium ATS-314 cobalt steel, hardened to around 62-63 HRC, with a sword-profile blade and an ultra-sharp convex edge. It is built for powerful techniques such as deep slice cutting, slide cutting and dry cutting. It runs slightly long, so the 5.75 inch handles like a 6.0 inch and the 6.75 inch handles like a 7.0 inch.
The Kenshi texturising scissor is a 6.5 inch VG-10 thinning shear with a 40-tooth blade. The higher tooth count removes a smaller amount of hair per pass, which suits fine blending, softening weight lines and finishing rather than bulk removal.
Bought together the two scissors cost less than buying them separately, and you get a matched pair that keeps a consistent grip and balance across your whole cut. It is a tidy way to build or upgrade a kit with one steel family.
What is included in the set?
Two scissors: the Kenshi cutting scissor in your chosen size (5.75 or 6.75 inch) and the 6.5 inch Kenshi texturising scissor.
Which cutting size should I choose?
The 5.75 inch handles like a 6.0 inch and suits all-round salon cutting. The 6.75 inch handles like a 7.0 inch and gives extra reach for scissor-over-comb and barbering. The texturiser is 6.5 inch in both options.
Are these right or left-handed?
Both scissors are built right-handed. If you need a true left-handed pair, contact our team before ordering and we will let you know the current options.
How do I care for the convex edges?
Wipe the blades clean and dry after each client and add a drop of scissor oil at each pivot regularly. Have the edges sharpened only by a sharpener trained on convex and textured blades.
Where are they made?
Both scissors are made in Japan, the cutting scissor from ATS-314 steel and the texturiser from VG-10 steel.
