This set brings the two VG Black scissors together for stylists and barbers who want a complete cut-and-blend kit with one clean, stealth matte black look. Both scissors are made from Japanese VG-10 steel and finished in the same matte black coating.
The VG Black cutting scissor is VG-10 steel hardened to around 60-61 HRC, with a hand-honed convex edge and a symmetric classic handle. It comes in 5.5 inch for detail and precision work or 6.0 inch for all-round cutting and scissor-over-comb.
The VG Black thinning scissor is a 6.0 inch VG-10 thinner with a 30-tooth blade and an offset handle. A 30-tooth count removes a moderate amount of hair per pass, which makes it a versatile general thinner for reducing weight and blending.
Bought together the two scissors cost less than buying them separately, and you get a matched matte black pair in the same steel family to cover both cutting and thinning. It is a tidy way to build or upgrade a kit.
